Everett Lupton is a trial lawyer litigating injury and death cases in state and federal courts in both Virginia and North Carolina for more than twenty years. In 2024 and 2025, Virginia Lawyers Weekly, the primary legal news publication for Virginia attorneys, named Everett Lupton as a Go-To Negligence Lawyer. Coastal Virginia Magazine also selected Everett Lupton as a Top Lawyer in Personal Injury in 2015, 2024 and 2026. Mr. Lupton is also AV-rated (Preeminent) by Martindale-Hubbell and a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Mr. Lupton has tried more than a hundred jury trials to verdict, tried countless bench trials, and advocated for his clients in numerous mediations and arbitrations. He has also served as an arbitrator in personal injury cases.
Mr. Lupton has represented injured persons for the entirety of his legal career for injuries from motor vehicle collisions, tractor-trailer crashes, serious slip and fall injuries, mauling by animals, and other types of bodily injury claims. He has also represented injured railroad workers in FELA (Federal Employers Liability Act) claims and cases, and injured seamen in their Jones Act and Suits in Admiralty Act (SIAA) claims, and he has litigated these injury cases in state and federal courts in Virginia and North Carolina.
Mr. Lupton has written multiple published articles on various legal issues, been a speaker at multiple attorney CLE programs, served as an Adjunct (full) Professor at Old Dominion University (2007-2013), and served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Tidewater Community College (2001-2007).
Mr. Lupton grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. When he is not practicing law, Mr. Lupton enjoys time with his wife and two daughters and actively participating in a variety of outdoor activities.
