Biography
Dan Linebaugh is certified as a specialist in Truck Accident Law and in Personal Injury Trial Law. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1985. Mr. Linebaugh holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from South Texas College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communications from Youngstown State University. While attending law school, Mr. Linebaugh received recognition for excellence in scholarship and placed among the top oralists in both mock trial and moot court competitions. In 2002, Mr. Linebaugh completed advanced course work in trial advocacy sponsored by the National College of Advocacy at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA.
In addition to being licensed to practice law before all Texas courts, Mr. Linebaugh is licensed to practice law before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
Mr. Linebaugh is a frequent lecturer at seminars for attorneys and other legal programs. In addition to being Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Linebaugh is also Board Certified in Truck Accident Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.*
Mr. Linebaugh is an active member of numerous bar associations, including the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice and the Houston Bar Association. From 1998 through 2000, Mr. Linebaugh served as president of the East Harris County Bar Association. Mr. Linebaugh is also a graduate of the highly acclaimed Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming, where he studied under legendary trial attorney, Gerry Spence. And since 1998, Linebaugh has served the State Bar of Texas on the Pattern Jury Charge Committee for General Negligence and Personal Torts.
Mr. Linebaugh's reputation has earned him the privilege of representing clients from throughout Texas and the United States. Texas Monthly Magazine has named Mr. Linebaugh as a Texas Super Lawyer every year since 2003. Linebaugh has also been inducted into the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum as a lifetime member.
