DeVaughn is an Oklahoma native with his legal practice based in Wichita, Kansas. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1991 and his joint Juris Doctorate and Masters in Business Administration from Washburn University School of Law in 1994. He is one of the founding members of DeVaughn James, LLC. He has been named as one of Wichita's "40 Under 40" by the Wichita Business Journal and is a member of the Kansas Association for Justice; the Wichita Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyer Association.
