Matt Feller was born and raised in Layton, Utah and has been litigating injury cases since 2009 where he has been involved in complex injury litigation in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nebraska, Nevada, Texas, Utah, and Florida. During his undergraduate studies at Utah State University and Weber State University, Matt worked for a large corporation’s safety compliance division where he trained employees on driver safety policies and procedures, work-place safety, and OSHA safety compliance. Additionally, prior to law school Matt took a position with a Utah based criminal defense firm where he worked on criminal defense cases including appearing as a legal assistant in criminal defense trials. During his time in law school, Matt worked as a research law-clerk for the Yolo County Superior Court, and for The Honorable Michael G. Allphin, Second District Court, Davis County, Utah where he performed extensive legal research and drafting of Jury Instructions, Orders on Motions in Limine, Motions for Post-Conviction Relief, and Trial Orders.

In 2009, Matt earned his Juris Doctor degree from The University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law where he received his practicum Certificate for the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, along with the Mock Trial Honors Award for Trial Advocacy. Upon graduating law school, Matt received his license to practice law in Utah and began his career in civil litigation where he began his litigation practice involving large contract and business disputes for a corporation located in Salt Lake City, Utah. According to Matt, “litigating large business disputes made me feel like I was often on the wrong side of the fight,” and he decided to pursue his passion to fight for the “little-guy” and co-founded the personal injury firm Feller & Wendt, LLC™.

Shortly after forming Feller & Wendt, LLC™, Feller & Wendt obtained a public defender criminal defense contract for Weber County, Utah, which required Matt to be in a courtroom almost daily for three years arguing motions and trying cases.

Since 2009, Feller & Wendt, LLC™ has become a multi-jurisdictional personal-injury law firm with offices in Utah, Arizona, and Idaho. Matt has received his Bar license in each of these jurisdictions and has been involved in trial work and has successfully litigated cases against trucking companies, residential care facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and large corporations. Shortly after being licensed in Utah, Matt argued the notable Utah Supreme Court Case of Zeller v. Nixon, 2015 UT 57. The cases that Matt has been involved in trial work and litigation over have resulted in significant awards, including several notable individual awards in the states Matt focuses his practice in. These cases include a $5,135,500 judgement on premises liability, $3,850,000 trucking crash, $3,000,000 sexual abuse at a therapeutic boarding school, $2,700,000 carbon monoxide verdict, $2,480,000 trucking case, $2,200,000 sexual assault at a day spa, $1,750,000 medical malpractice case, $1,500,000 sexual molestation at boarding school, $1,500,000 motor vehicle crash, $1,000,000 motor vehicle crash, and $800,000 boarding school molestation. Over his career, Matt has resolved hundreds of cases arising from motor vehicle crashes.

In his role as a partner and owner of Feller & Wendt, LLC™, Matt is not only focused on his case work, but on the development of Feller & Wendt’s teams and processes. Matt is engaged in the continual training and development of attorneys and staff throughout Utah, Idaho, and Arizona.
